Dallas corporate travelA Dallas chauffeur service is pre-arranged ground transport booked ahead at a fixed price, carried out by a licensed for-hire operator. It is not hailed on the street and not dispatched on demand. The vehicle, the chauffeur and the price are all settled before the day of travel, whether the booking is a DFW airport transfer, an hourly car service or a black car to a morning meeting.
In practice that distinction decides what happens when things go wrong. A metered taxi and a surge-priced app both re-price themselves when traffic turns or the weather does. A reserved Dallas car service booking does not. The number you agreed is the number you pay, and it already contains the tolls, the airport access fees and the taxes.
The same reservation covers the rest of the region: Dallas Love Field transfers, Addison transfers, Fort Worth Meacham International transfers, and a car service to Austin when the trip runs further out. For companies moving people through the city regularly, corporate travel in Dallas adds central billing and duty-of-care reporting on top of the same fleet.
Which one is right depends far more on where you are going than on which is nearest. Each has its own page with terminal detail and pickup arrangements.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive, off-peak | Typical drive, peak | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dallas/Fort Worth InternationalDFW | 18 miles | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 85 min | International arrivals, long-haul, and anything in the mid-cities |
| Dallas Love FieldDAL | 7 miles | 15 to 25 min | 30 to 50 min | Domestic flights and the quickest arrival into Downtown or Uptown |

| Fort Worth Meacham InternationalFTW | 35 miles | 40 to 55 min | 1h to 1h 30 | General aviation on the Fort Worth side |
| Denton EnterpriseDTO | 40 miles | 45 to 60 min | 1h 5 to 1h 40 | The northern edge of the metroplex |
Drive times are door to door from the arrivals kerb, not gate to gate, and they assume a direct private vehicle rather than a shared shuttle. Peak means roughly 07:00 to 10:00 and 15:30 to 19:30 on a weekday.
Dallas/Fort Worth International is larger than the island of Manhattan. Treating it like a normal airport is the most expensive assumption a visitor makes here.
DFW runs five terminals arranged in semicircles along a central spine, connected by the Skylink train inside security. On the landside they are effectively separate airports. Driving between Terminal A and Terminal E is a real journey on the airport's own roadways, and it carries an exit toll on the way out regardless of which terminal you leave from. Passengers who tell an operator the wrong terminal do not lose five minutes, they lose twenty five. Give us the flight number and the terminal is worked out for you.
The metroplex is wrapped in toll roads. The Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, SH-121, the Sam Rayburn Tollway and the DFW airport exit are all electronic, all requiring a TollTag, and almost any run to Plano, Frisco, Addison or the northern suburbs uses at least two of them. Those charges are inside your quoted price. They are also why the difference between a tolled route and a free one here can be twenty minutes of your evening.
Distances in this region are deceptive in both directions. Fort Worth feels far and is thirty five minutes from DFW. Frisco feels close and is an hour from Downtown Dallas at five in the afternoon. Las Colinas is fifteen minutes from the airport and is where a great deal of the corporate demand actually sits. Judge by the drive time column rather than by the map.
Details above were checked against public sources at the time of writing. Rates, terminal assignments and construction timelines in this section change faster than any website updates, so treat your chauffeur's message on the day as the authority.
Published transfer times are usually the best case. These are ranges, and the upper end happens often enough to plan around.
| Route | Off-peak | Weekday peak | What moves it |
|---|---|---|---|
| DFW to Downtown Dallas | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 85 min | SH-183 or I-635, and the airport's own exit toll either way |
| DFW to Uptown and Victory Park | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 85 min | The hotel and corporate corridor north of downtown |
| DFW to Downtown Fort Worth | 25 to 35 min | 40 to 70 min | Much closer than most visitors assume |
| DFW to Las Colinas and Irving | 15 to 25 min | 25 to 45 min | The shortest corporate run in the metroplex |
| Love Field to Downtown | 15 to 25 min | 30 to 50 min | Straight down the Tollway or Harry Hines |
| DFW to Plano and Frisco | 35 to 55 min | 60 to 100 min | SH-121 and the Dallas North Tollway, both tolled |
Each route above has its own page with pricing by vehicle class, the roads actually used and the times worth avoiding.
Intercity runs are priced as one fixed fare for the whole journey, not per hour, so the traffic is our problem rather than yours.
| Destination | Distance | Typical drive | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Austin | 195 miles | 3h to 3h 45 | I-35 the whole way, and Waco is always the slow part |
| Houston | 240 miles | 3h 30 to 4h 30 | I-45 south, long enough that First is worth it |
| Oklahoma City | 205 miles | 3h to 3h 45 | I-35 north through the Arbuckles |
| Waco | 100 miles | 1h 35 to 2h | The Baylor and Magnolia run |
| Fort Worth | 35 miles | 40 to 70 min | I-30 west, a daily corporate movement rather than a trip |
| Tyler and East Texas | 100 miles | 1h 40 to 2h 10 | I-20 east, straightforward |
The chauffeur meeting you is dispatched by an operator based here, not routed in from another market.

No meter, no surge multiplier, and no line item that appears after the ride is over.
DART's Orange Line runs from a station at DFW Terminal A to Downtown Dallas, and the TRE connects to Fort Worth. For a single traveller with a carry-on and no deadline it works, and it is inexpensive. Love Field is close enough to Downtown that a rideshare there is entirely sensible on a normal day.
A chauffeur earns its price on the DFW run specifically, because the airport's scale, the terminal confusion and the tollway routing are exactly the sort of problem worth handing to somebody else. It also earns it with luggage, with a group, for the northern suburbs where the ride is long, and for a day of meetings across Uptown, Las Colinas and Plano where the alternative is three separate cars and two parking garages.
The full cost and time comparison against the meter is on Dallas taxi versus chauffeur.
The terminal assignment, the pickup zone that moved last month, the parking permit for that garage. None of it reaches you.

It depends far more on your destination than on distance. Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW), Dallas Love Field (DAL) are the main options, and the drive times differ enough that the cheapest ticket is often not the cheapest arrival. The table above sets out distance and typical drive time for each, and every airport has its own page with terminal detail and pickup arrangements.
In the designated pre-arranged pickup area for your terminal, with the chauffeur calling as you reach the doors. Pickup zones at DFW change during construction and reorganisation, so the operator confirms the current meeting point on the morning of your flight rather than relying on anything printed in advance. Being met inside arrivals on your name is a paid add-on.
Between 30 to 45 min off-peak and 50 to 85 min in weekday peak traffic, door to door from the arrivals kerb. Published figures shorter than that usually describe a quiet Sunday morning. Each route from the airport has its own page with the roads used and the times worth avoiding.
Yes. Bridge, tunnel and expressway tolls, express lane charges, airport access fees and taxes are all inside the price quoted at the time of booking. Ride-hailing apps and taxis add these to your fare per trip, which is why two apparently similar quotes can settle very differently at the end of the ride.
Yes. Every vehicle is run by a for-hire operator licensed in its own jurisdiction, with licensing and insurance verified before they can take a booking rather than checked per ride.
Sixty minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time, tracked against the aircraft rather than the schedule, which covers immigration, baggage and customs. Every other pickup includes 15 minutes. Beyond the free window, waiting is billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle class rate and you are told before it starts.
At least 3 hours before pickup so the operator can assign and brief a chauffeur, though RYDES takes reservations up to a year out. For group vehicles and for the busy weeks noted above, book as early as you can, because availability runs out long before price becomes the problem.
Add your flight number and we track the aircraft. A delay moves your pickup automatically and costs nothing, with free waiting starting at the actual landing time. A diversion is handled by dispatch, who will re-brief a chauffeur to the new field where the operator has coverage. Dispatch answers around the clock on +1 888 881 7933.
Yes, with a two-hour minimum in 30-minute increments. The chauffeur waits between stops and nothing runs while you are inside a meeting. Once a day involves three or more stops, hourly hire is usually cheaper than separate transfers once you count the waiting you would have done anyway.
Whichever one your flight actually arrives at, worked out from your flight number rather than from memory. DFW has five terminals, A through E, and they are far apart on the landside even though the Skylink connects them airside. This is the single most common error at this airport. Give us the flight number when you book and the operator confirms the terminal and the pre-arranged pickup zone before you land.
Love Field is seven miles from Downtown Dallas and is much the quicker arrival for Downtown, Uptown and North Dallas, but it is domestic and served by a narrower set of carriers. DFW is the international gateway and is closer to Fort Worth, Las Colinas, Irving and the mid-cities than Love Field is. For anything west of Dallas proper, DFW usually wins even on a longer flight.
Yes. The Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, SH-121 and the DFW airport exit toll are all electronic and charged to the vehicle. On a RYDES booking they are inside the price quoted at booking, along with airport access fees. It means the operator takes the faster tolled route to Frisco or Plano without a conversation about who is paying for it.
